Providing practical advice for clubs to help develop an environment that encourages women and girls to get involved in football

Do you want to grow new girls’ teams at your club? Do you know what an ideal female friendly environment looks like?

This interactive workshop is aimed at both club committee members and coaches and will provide you with practical advice and help you create the right environment at your club to grow female participation.

You will understand off-pitch and on-pitch considerations and discuss real life case study examples to enable you to build your own game plan for growth.

Between 6.30pm and 9.30pm, club representatives (a maximum of two per club) will be able to enjoy an interactive workshop that aims to provide you with tools you need to develop girls’ football at your club.

Designed for club committee members and coaches, by the end of the workshop, you will understand on and off-pitch considerations to take into account when building your own game plan for growth.

The workshop will be delivered by two FA Consultants and provide participants with advice, support and examples on how to create the right environment within your club to develop the female game. On the evening, those in attendance can also take part in a Q&A session with a local girls club and Surrey FA; providing an opportunity to ask any questions relating to female football.

 

An online resource will be also be available for all clubs to download from Download online resource pack from the 19/20 season. This will be an interactive flipbook that provides practical advice for clubs to help them develop an environment that encourages women and girls participation to thrive.

Food and refreshments will also be provided.
