With such bad weather this season it is now apparent that for some of you there are not enough “playing” Sundays left for you to get your programme completed.

This will result in those teams having to play double headers.

Some may even have to play mid week.

Please check with your fixture secretary where the double header is to be played.

Pranwsandwich will put the games up alphabetically but it may be the case that the first named team will not be the host.

In short :

The MINIMUM time should be played.

Minimum time to be played:

U12s…20 minute halves

U13s & U14s… 25 minute halves

U15s & U16s…25 minute halves

U17s & U18s…25 minute halves

Example U-13

First game…25 minutes each way. No more than 5 minutes for half time

Take a short break.

Second game…25 minutes each way again. No more than 5 minutes for half time

There should be 4 halves played. Game one – 2 halves. Game two – 2 halves.

Match cards should be completed for two games.

  • Double Headers – If there are no free dates left the Fixture Secretary may order a “double header” to be played. A double header is “two games of short duration”. The minimum time should be played for both halves. Each half in an Uxx double header will be xx minutes each way (see table). A double header consists of 2 matches, each match having 2 halves. Both games are completely independent, they are two totally different games, they just happen to be played one after another. The second game can consist of a completely different set of players, any substitutions, cautions and sending offs during the first game do not count in the second game. It is usual for the second game to be refereed by the same person, but it does not have to be.

Referees are paid £36.00 for a double header. (U12. U13.)

Referees are paid £46.00 for a double header. (U14. U15.).

Referees are paid £54.00 for a double header. U16. U18.)

Cost should be split between the teams.

  • For the purpose of the results the visitors are the home team for the second game.
  • 2 sets of result cards must be submitted.
  • The two teams share the cost of the referee
  • 4 Halves must be played. Two games in total.
  • One game (2 halves) cannot count as 2 games.

Note: In cases where the date is set to other than a Sunday this date may be changed upon agreement of both teams concerned with the consent of the fixture secretary. However, where that game is not played because teams cannot reach agreement the management committee may render the match null & void or award the match to either team as they deem fit in the circumstances.
